At 40drop cryotherapy centers, we focus on the use of Whole Body Cryotherapy (WBC) , Local Cryotherapy (LC) and the ever popular Cryo-Facial to improve the health, well-being and beauty of our clients.
Repair • Renew • Restore
WBC: this is our most durable treatment. In most cases, the pain relief and loosening up is nearly immediate. Everyone is different however, and the variance seems to be in the duration of the relief. For some, it last weeks, for others only hours. When the duration of the relief is shorter than we’d like, we typically recommend a condensed series of treatments over a two week period to reduce overall inflammation and then determine the maintenance schedule needed to maintain the relief.
Here’s how it works: when the skin is exposed to the extreme cold in our state-of-the-art cryo chamber – at temperatures as low as -260 degrees – your body is forced to react in a number of ways. Each of these reactions can have powerful positive impacts on your overall well-being. These positive results are maximized when we are able to achieve a skin SURFACE temperature drop of approximately 20-40 degrees. We are able to achieve these drops in a session of just two to three minutes in the chamber.
LC: a very focused use of extremely cold nitrogen vapor to drive the cold deeper into the affected area. Much more effective than an ice pack or cold wraps. This is most effective when used following the WBC treatment. In this way it acts as a booster or amplifier for the benefits received from the Whole Body treatment.
Cryo-Facial: the use of varying levels of cold and pressure applied to the scalp, face, neck and chest area. This leads to an increase in collagen production resulting in tighter, fuller skin, evened out skin tones and wrinkle reduction.
