What to Expect

When you’re in the cryotherapy chamber, the extreme cold on your skin triggers a reaction from your central nervous system.

What to Expect

40Drop Cryothearpy CenterUpon your arrival, you will be directed to one of our registration kiosks, where you will review and sign the registration paperwork. Plan on approximately five minutes for this step, which is only required on your first visit. We will keep this information on file electronically for all of your future visits.

  • Once registered, one of our associates will check you in, discuss which option you are interested in and go over any questions you may have.
  • You will then be directed to one of the changing rooms to prepare for your treatment.
  • You MUST be completely dry.
  • Men MUST wear underwear (preferably cotton) or a bathing suit/shorts. For women, clothing is optional.  Most women wear shorts/underwear and sports bra.
  • We will provide socks, gloves, footwear and a robe.
  • All metal jewelry must be removed.
  • Once attired properly, one of our associates will accompany you to the cryo chamber.
  • You will step into the chamber, and the associate will raise the platform so that your head is above the level of the chamber walls.
  • You will remove your robe, so that you can maximize the amount of skin exposed to the cold.
  • The associate will start the cryotherapy process, which fills the chamber with nitrogen gas, cooling the chamber.
  • The associate will never leave you unattended.
  • If at any time you feel the need to end your treatment, you can simply open the door and step out.
  • At this point, you will return to your changing room to return to your regular clothing, and see one of our associates for checkout.
